Dark, Strong Male/Kurt - Recs

Hi! I'm a first time poster, so sorry if I'm doing anything wrong. I'm looking for recs where Kurt is with any strong/dominant/dark/intimidating/powerful/dangerous guy; it could be any character in any genre. :)

Just a lot of dark!fics, because I love them and haven't been able to find many. 

Long Kurt/Blaine recs for the non-Klainer?

Although I have no real problems with the Klaine pairing on the show (except for it being a bit too cute at times), the fanfiction aspect of it has left me figuratively gagging.

I've so far only shipped Kurtbastian and Kurtofsky. I enjoy the give and take and the overall journey of those parings in terms of character development etc, while any Klaine I've come across only seemed to fluffy or severely OOC with massive character bashing (just no).

But then after fic dry spell, I started reading Near Misses by flaming_muse at AO3 and absolutely loved it! It felt in-character yet new and interesting so I decided to give this ship a go after all.

Could you please help me out with recs to start of with? There's simply too many stories in this pairing for me to handle. Think of it as a conversion-intervention. :-)

What I like:
-  Long (30000+)
-  Character or emotional development
-  In character or plausible OOC (like maybe Kurt is different because he was, say, abused by his first boyfriend but not him suddenly being a casanova or something without explanation)
-  Neither super angsty nor super fluffy
-  Canon or canon-derived AU. (No Kurt is a teacher and Blaine a golf-prodigy but "what if they never met" or "what if Burt was homophobic" are very welcome)
