Darren/Chris Road trip fic

Hi, I'm looking for a specific fic in which Darren and Chris were on a road trip.

I remember very little except it was angsty and there were talks of break ups etc.

Also Darren did open mic at a festival.

I think they stayed in a motel together and one of the guys working there was gay.

And maybe Chris jumped out of the car.

I also think Darren was reading and Chris smoking or the other way around but that definitely happened.

This may be getting a couple of fics muddled together but if anyone has any idea that would be great.
